Formula One, also referred to as F1, is an international auto racing event that has been enthralling spectators for decades. New rules, vehicles, and drivers were among the many exciting changes that the F1 2022 season brought. The upcoming Formula1 2023 season has fans eagerly anticipating what fresh twists and turns it will bring.

The FORMULA 1 is a car race at over 200 miles an hour, in cities all over the world, with insanely famous drivers and hundred person teams.

Here racing cars are so advanced that they are practically spaceships and so expensive that they had to make a rule that teams couldn’t spend more than $140 million dollars, EACH.

The question that will surely come into your mind is, why pour so much money, so much technological efforts into F1?

The answer is what we get in return. This is not just a car race, this is a space program, for the road.

Formula 1 Drivers and Teams

The drivers want to get the most points themselves to win the “Drivers Championship” but the teams want to get the most points in total, to win the “Constructors Championship”.

At the wider picture, it’s all about, Drivers like Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez (Red Bull Racing), Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll (Aston Martin), Carlo Sainz (Ferrari) and Lewis Hamilton and George Russel (Mercedes).

Here at F1, winning does not just depend on going fast, it also depends on keeping control, and that requires a firm grip on the ground. Taking together, an F1 car is just a SYMPHONY of aerodynamics.

If you are planning to attend this breath-taking event, you can see teams perfecting these cars over the years, understanding the need for wings and adding them, changing the shape, pushing your understanding of aerodynamics, to shave off just fractions of a second.

Formula1 Race Pattern

Each team races two cars. So, two drivers for the same team.

Each event or “GRAND PRIX" is three days: Practice, Qualifying, Race Day.

And this is how it works: The order of who does the fastest lap on qualifying day becomes the line-up at the starting line on the Race Day. Depending on where drivers finish, they get different numbers of points.

How much does Formula1 cost?

Based on speculations, as the F1 teams do not really share their details, running an F1 team cost anywhere from 95million to 425 million dollars. But recently F1 instituted a new rule saying that all the teams will only be allowed to spend $140 million.  After spending so much the teams make almost close to nothing. They end up almost at a break-even point.

Who do you think is the best driver in Formula One history, and why?

To date, Lewis Hamilton has won 103 Formula One races, setting a new record. The previous record holder, Michael Schumacher, is in second place with 91 wins, followed by Sebastian Vettel in third with 53 wins.

What is the value of a Formula One car?

The numbers suggest that a Formula One racing car from the 2022 season is worth somewhere between $12 and $15 million. Prices for even the display or scale models of the one-seaters are through the roof.

What’s the schedule for Formula1 2023?

Following the recent cancellation of the Chinese Grand Prix, the F1 schedule for 2023 has been officially announced, with 23 races scheduled to take place. Beginning in Bahrain in early March, the season will end in Abu Dhabi in late November. In addition to returning to Qatar after a year away due to the football World Cup, the highly anticipated Las Vegas Grand Prix will make its debut during the 2023 season.
